Buyer complains tablet delivered by J&T Express has cracked screen

A buyer has complained that the tablet delivered to her by J&T Express had a cracked screen.

The courier company recently went viral after its employees were caught on video throwing packages recklessly in a truck.

According to Ivan Mayrina’s report on “24 Oras” Thursday, Mirasol Oquendo said she was not surprised with the state of her tablet if that was how J&T Express handled their packages.

“Naka-bubble wrap naman po ’yan, hindi naman mababasag ’yan kung hindi nila hinagis-hagis. Napabayaan po nila ’yun,” Oquendo said.

In a statement, J&T Express took responsibility and promised to hold the liable parties accountable.

“We would like to reiterate that we do not tolerate such acts and behavior, and we humbly take responsibility for this incident,” J&T said.

“We have already identified all the involved personnel in the video. Proper sanctions will be given to them accordingly,” it added.

The courier company also said the viral video was only an isolated case.

“All of our facilities including our branches and warehouses across the country are under 24/7 strict monitoring. We also follow strict protocols in handling the shipments and ensure that these are handled with proper care,” it said.

Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry said that in cases where the item delivered is broken, the buyer may complain to the seller, who will then complain to the courier company. – Joahna Lei Casilao/RC, GMA News
