Iridescent cloud amazes residents in South Cotabato town

A colorful iridescent cloud stunned residents in Polomolok, South Cotabato on Monday.

YouScooper Zered Prince Masmela was able to take a photo of its vibrance at 4:10 p.m. and shared it on social media.

According to a report on “Unang Hirit,” cloud iridescence occurs when a cloud appears when sunlight diffracts off water droplets in the atmosphere.

This results in a rainbow-like burst of colors, as spotted by Masmela.

Coupled with the silhouette of the banana trees in his area, the optical phenomenon made for a fantastic view.
