Man hilariously celebrates friend’s birthday by putting up her posters all over Zamboanga City

If this way of greeting your friend on their birthday won’t make them feel seen, we don’t know what will!

Ar-j Sta. Maria greeted his friend on her birthday in one of the most unique ways possible—by putting up numerous posters of her all over Zamboanga City!

Ar-j said he decided to celebrate Restie Camahalan’s birthday, which was held on Monday, by putting up her posters because he was proud of her.

In each poster, Restie’s face could be seen with her full name and birthday written on it. 

Sharing on Tuesday photos of the posters on the walls and streets of the city, Ar-j wrote on Facebook: “Sabi ko naman sa ’yo sobrang proud ako na kaibigan kita at gusto ko malaman ng buong Zamboanga City na birthday mo ngayon.” 

“Nag-iisip lang po ako talaga ng magandang idea before her birthday,” he told GMA News. “Ayaw ko na kasi gawin ’yung usual post na ‘Happy birthday’ na simple. I want something different kaya I push na gawin po sya.”

According to Ar-j, Restie found his greetings hilarious and made her happy.

“Akala ko magtatampo siya pero paggising ko, she thanked me [kasi] sobrang effort ko raw. Even her family ay sobrang saya,” Ar-j said. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
