Lawyer in Sorsogon accepts crabs as payment after client couldn't pay fee

A lawyer in Sorsogon City accepted crabs as payment after his client said that he couldn't pay for his fee.

In a viral post on Facebook, Atty. Noel Allen Bose shared a photo of himself holding crabs in one hand and his briefcase in the other outside of a courtroom.

Bose said that after attending a hearing, the client told him that he didn't have any money to pay for Bose's appearance fee and asked if it would be alright if he paid with the crabs he caught. Bose agreed and accepted the crabs.

"Crabs make the stomach full (and the nape numb), but your reactions to this post is making my heart fuller. I also want to thank the lawyers who work for the government and the private sector," Bose wrote in Filipino.

"They don't usually post about their jobs and their challenges, but they're hardworking and dedicated to their promise to help fellow Filipinos," he added.
