Ronnie Henares reacts to his ‘Pepito Manaloto’ meme with Hidilyn Diaz

Ronnie Henares has just found himself as a meme and decided to play along with it!

On Wednesday, the “Pepito Manaloto” actor shared a Facebook screen grab of a viral meme which showed Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz and his character Tommy Diones with the words, “Hidilyn, my friend.”

“Somebody is spreading this around! Sa bagay, mahigit nang isang milyon ang utang ko kay Pepito. Siguro naman, sa daming milyon makukuha ni Hidilyn, baka pwede niya ako ibalato ng isang milyon man lang!” Ronnie wrote on Instagram, staying in character.

[Just as well, I owe Pepito more than 1 million. Maybe out of all the millions Hidilyn will be getting, she can share with me at least 1 million!]

His co-star Manilyn Reynes, who played Pepito’s wife Elsa, later replied to his post. “Tommy, my friend,” she said, adding a laughing emoji.

On the TV series, Ronnie played an annoying financial analyst who’s always trying to take advantage of people, including Pepito.

Hidilyn Diaz, meanwhile, will receive millions in cash prizes after becoming the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist. – RC, GMA News
