Can this two-year-old girl from Palawan be one of the country's best singers someday? Her powerful performances prove that she has a chance.

In Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras," Monday, Katriz Parapina can be seen belting high notes, as if she has plans to join the singing competition "The Clash" in the future.

She also adorably uses a corn cob as a microphone and lets all emotions out to deliver a standing ovation-worthy performance.

As of writing, her video on Facebook has reached over 114,000 reactions and 2.8 million views.

According to Katriz's mom April, she was both shocked and happy to discover her daughter's talent.

"I'm so happy because I didn't expect Katriz to belt high notes given that she's only two years old. You can really see the emotions in her," she said in a mix of English and Filipino.

Among Katriz’s favorite songs to sing are "Ako Ay May Lobo" and "Bahay Kubo."

With such talent, Katriz's dad Jerry said there is no doubt that she got it from her mother, who always sings whenever she has the chance.

"Maybe Katriz hears her so she was able to adopt it," he said in a mix of English and Filipino.

After going viral, April has since been getting various messages from netizens. The best one yet is an offer to get Katriz her very own microphone.

Although April and Jerry are both supportive of Katriz's talent, as parents and teachers, they said their daughter's education will still be their top priority.

"When it comes to the child's talent, we're full support but, of course, we can't forget about her studies," April said.
