Meet Jejemonvines, the talented Pinoy little person taking TikTok by storm

A multi-talented little person from Antique, Philippines, has been delighting more than half a million people on TikTok with his fun and feel-good videos.

Renz Joshua Baña, better known on the internet as "Jejemonvines," shared his inspiring story on "Unang Hirit."

Apparently, the 19-year-old internet star did not even have his own phone, nor did their house have a Wi-Fi signal.

He is the eldest of five siblings, who he has to take care of as his parents try to make ends meet.

Renz said he was able to make his TikToks by borrowing a phone from a friend, and he had to go to his classmate's house to connect to the internet.

Despite his short stature and his family's difficult situation, Renz had big dreams.

He is now in his second year of college, working hard to earn his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems degree.

"Ang pangarap ko po ay makapagtapos ng pag-aaral at mabigyan ko ng magandang buhay ang pamilya ko," he said.

Jejemonvines currently has more than 505,000 followers on TikTok.

Renz said he never expected to become famous on the internet, but he was glad to make other people smile amid the pandemic.

"Naisipan ko pong mag-TikTok para mawala po 'yung lungkot at problema," he said.

"Hindi naman ako normal tulad ng iba, pero maipapakita ko po din na kaya ko pong magbigay ng ngiti sa kanilang mga labi."

For inspiring many people with his hard work and dedication, Renz received from "Unang Hirit" a new laptop so he can pursue his online classes amid the COVID-19 pandemic. – Margaret Claire Layug/RC, GMA News
