Adele's 'Easy On Me' is trending and netizens are squealing over the house featured in the MV. Here's why
Four hours after Adele's "Easy On Me" was released, its become a trending topic on Twitter with its MV attracting more than 7.4 million views on YouTube.
Netizens were quick to go gaga over the house she was seen leaving in the video, drawing up metaphors and what it could mean.
One netizen with the handle @queenadelesIays even came up with a narrative saying, "Adele built a house in 'Rolling in the Deep,' she moved in that house in 'Hello' and left the house in 'Easy on Me.' A story teller!!"
In a statement released on Friday, Sony Music confirmed that the video begins in the same house Adele used for her 2015 single "Hello."
For "Easy on Me," the singer once again worked with Cannes Grand Prix winning director Xavier Dolan, who worked on Adele's "Hello" music video. They shot the video just last month in Quebec.
"I was honestly hoping for this to happen," Xavier said. "For me, there’s nothing stronger than artists reconnecting after years apart. I’ve changed. Adele’s changed."
"And this is an opportunity to celebrate how we’ve both evolved, and how we’ve also both remained faithful to our dearest themes. It’s all the same, but different," Dolan added.
Adele's new song is released ahead of an album called "30," which will be released on November 19 — six years after she released her third and most recent studio record "25."
Adele made a heart-stopping debut in 2008 with "19." She followed it up with "21" in 2011.
The 33-year old singer, who had announced her separation from husband Simon Konecki in 2019, earlier revealed she started recording "30" three years ago at a time when her life was "a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil."
In any case, "Easy on Me" is yet another stunner from Adele. Below is the video people can't stop talking about.
