Man plays his piano of 20 years before it gets drowned by floodwater amid Odette onslaught

A man in Cagayan de Oro tugged at everyone's hearts on social media when he shared a video of him playing his piano before it gets drowned by floodwater caused by Typhoon Odette.

In the video, it can be seen that the piano has already been partially submerged in floodwater.

Unable to do anything, the owner, Neil Jon Salcedo, decided to play it for the last time. Not minding the flood, Salcedo emotionally played Yiruma's "River Flows in You."

"My 20+ year-old piano. Probably my last time playing this piano before it gets destroyed," he wrote on his Facebook post. "Bagyong Odette, please stop na."

Salcedo's video has attracted over 912,000 views, 78,000 reactions, and 100 comments from netizens who hoped that his family and piano would get out of the calamity safely.

As of reporting, Salcedo's family has been moved to the evacuation center.
