Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho's "Gabi ng Lagim" trended yet again as it aired four incredible freaky stories on Sunday.

The unexpected appearance of TikTok sensation Sassa Gurl, as well as those of Therese Malvar, Mercedes Cabral, and Shaira Diaz received a number of reactions from netizens, helping the GMA Halloween Special trend not just in the Philippines but worldwide. 

"Sassa Gurl on KMJS Gabi ng Lagim was something I wasn't expecting [crying face emojis]," wrote a Twitter user with the handle @_cheungx_0

"Best comedy horror," another Twitter wrote, tweeting a screengrab of the popular TikTokerist.

Meanwhile, Kapuso actress Therese Malvar earned netizens' attention for her acting chops.

"Therese Malvar is one of those actors who is beyond spectacular you just feel kinda sorry for whoever is acting with her. ang husay, husay," someone said.

Hopping on the "Gabi ng Lagim" trend on Sunday night, Ruru Madrid posted a selfie with tiyanak to reference the first story in the Halloween special.

“Hi daw sabi ng Tyanak!” Ruru wrote in the caption.


Therese also took to Twitter to share behind-the-scenes photos with Mercedes Cabral and director Jerrold Tayog.

 

 

Now on its 10th year, KMJS Gabi ng Lagim featured four true-to-lift horror stories titled "Tiyanak," "Pinoy Shutter," "Unit 771," and "Auditorium."

"Tiyanak" is based on an actual event in Sarangani, while "Pinoy Shutter" is inspired by a strange occurrence in Agusan del Norte. "Unit 771" is based on a weird tale in Taguig, while "Auditorium" is based on something that happened in an Iloilo school.
