Kabosu the dog, famous for his memes, turns 17!

Kabosu, the popular Shiba Inu dog that has been featured in numerous memes, has turned 17 years old!

On Wednesday, Kabosu's hooman celebrated the dog's birthday by posting a photo of Kabosu laying down on a lush carpet.

Behind Kabosu was her hooman, holding up a purple fabric that bore her famous photo. 

“Today is Kabosu’s 17th birthday,” the caption read.

As of writing, Kabosu’s photo has attracted over 175,200 likes and 28,000 retweets from fans wishing him a happy birthday.

Kabosu took social media by storm, when her photo looking playfully mischievous or wary of skepticism was used as a meme. Her identity was revealed in 2014.
