Faith in humanity restored!

Three high school students turned over a wallet and cellphones they found in separate incidents in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

In a report by Claire Lacanilao for GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon aired on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the students are all from Mangaldan National High School.

Francis Corpuz, one of the students, said that he ran under the rain to retrieve the cellphone.

"Kasi malaki pong halaga 'yun, pinaghirapan din po ng mga magulang 'yun," he said.

Meanwhile, Jayden Andre Molina found a wallet and immediately brought it to his teacher.

"Marami pong gustong kumuha pero po sinabi ko ibalik nalang po sa may-ari tapos tinakbo po namin sa may mga teacher, tapos binuksan po nila 'yung wallet may mga ID po," he recalled.

Mclaren Soriano, another student, also brought another cellphone to his teachers after learning it's not owned by any of his classmates.

Teachers at the school are beyond proud for the students' honesty.

"Every day talaga pinagsasabihan sila na gumawa ng mabuti at huwag silang maging pasaway para maging mabuting tao sila," said teacher Marvilyn de Vera.

Another good Samaritan is Dante Cendaña from the Public Order and Safety Office, who returned a wallet filled with cash and important IDs that he found.

"Trabaho po natin 'yun, hindi naman sa atin ang wallet na 'yun kaya po sinurrender ko," said the officer, who returned a lost item for the third time.

The wallet has been successfully returned to its rightful owner.
