70-year-old student in Leyte inspires many with dream of becoming a doctor
Age is no barrier to education for 70-year-old Jose Rallos, fondly called Tatay Jose, who is proving that it’s never too late to chase a dream.
According to an Unang Balita report on Monday, Rallos is currently a Grade 7 student at Mahaplag National High School in Mahaplag, Leyte.
His teacher, John Renz Mendipol Montiman, recently shared a video of him in class, which quickly went viral and captured the admiration of netizens.
In the video, Rallos can be seen actively participating in school activities, driven by his determination to one day become a doctor.
Montiman said Rallos is a model student who never comes late, never misses class, and consistently performs well in his studies.
“Teachers are also helping him by using different methods suited to his capacity and understanding,” Montiman added.
