IN PHOTOS: A look back at Quezon City history

Starting October, Quezon City will be celebrating its 75th year.

 

Today, QC is a booming city of entertainment, health, shopping, among others - but it wasn't built in one night.

 

Quezon City used to only be a small parcel of land, about the same as Intramuros. It was a mere corner claimed by former President Manuel Quezon, who couldn't possibly have imagined that it would develop into the thriving place it is now. Before citizens celebrate and look to more years to come, a trip down memory lane is in order — a rediscovery of the monumental figures and places that served as the foundation of the city.
