Torre de Manila intrudes in Mexican leader’s Rizal Monument photos
A familiar photobomber can be seen in photos of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto laying a wreath at the Rizal Monument on Tuesday: the Torre de Manila.
In photos Peña Nieto shared on his Facebook account, the condominium can plainly be seen behind the monument.

A project of DMCI Homes, the Torre de Manila is a planned 49-storey residential condominium going up in Manila within the visual corridors of the Rizal Monument.
Its construction has drawn the ire of many Filipinos, with heritage conservationists and several lawmakers calling for the building to be demolished.
DMCI has countered the calls for demolition, saying that the Torre de Manila and the Rizal Monument can "co-exist," and that photos of the monument in which the condominium can be seen in the background were the product of "trick shots" that "distort the truth."
In June the Supreme Court granted the Knights of Rizal's petition for a temporary restraining order on the continued construction of the Torre de Manila. Last month, the property developer filed a memorandum with the high court asking for the TRO to be lifted. — BM, GMA News
