A Filipino environmental activitist in Paris painted a mural portrait of one of the victims of super Typhoon Yolanda as a tribute to a close friend and to the other casualties of the 2013 tragedy.

A.G. Saño painted a mural of tattoo artist and musician Agit Sustento, who died together with his family during the storm.

He previously shared that Sustento was the last person who texted him before the typhoon cut off all communications. He said his friend was worried about him, for he was on his own.

"Art attack Paris... tribute to Agit Sustento and the countless voiceless who confront climate change," the mural artist said in a post on Instagram.

Saño was in Tacloban City when the super typhoon struck. He later volunteered to help in the rescue, recovery, and rehabilitation efforts

The final image was shared by GMA News anchor and reporter Howie Severino on Instagram.

Back in October, Saño and his brother Yeb painted a mural of Mother Earth in Galliate, Italy with the message "Una Terra, Una Famiglia Umana" or "One Earth, One Human Family".

Yeb resigned earlier this year as the Philippine government's envoy to the climate talks to march to Paris, also known as "People's Pilgrimage".
