Route for Pia Wurtzbach’s homecoming parade on Jan. 25

The date is set and preparations are underway for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. On January 23, the country's third beauty queen to win the prestigious crown is coming home and her fans are invited to join her in a grand parade on January 25 (Monday).

The Araneta Center advised the public that Wurtzbach's parade will start at 2 p.m. and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has released affected routes ahead of the parade:

• Hotel Sofitel, turning left to Atang Dela Rama Street
• Right turn to Vicente Sotto Street
• Left turn to F. Ma. Guerrerro Street
• Right turn to Bukaneg
• Left turn to Roxas Boulevard
• Right turn to Padre Burgos towards Taft Avenue
• Right turn to Finance Road
• Right turn to Taft Avenue
• Right turn to Quirino Avenue
• Left turn to Roxas Boulevard
• Left turn to Gil Puyat (Buendia)
• Left turn to Ayala Avenue
• U-Turn to Ayala - Makati Fire Station, going to Ayala Avenue to Rustan's

Wurtzbach requested her fans to bring Philippine flags to show their support. After the Manila to Makati route, Wurtzbach will do a special Araneta Center Parade at 5 p.m.

The Araneta Center Parade starts at the Smart Araneta Coliseum (where she was crowned Bb. Pilipinas 2015) heading to General MacArthur going to EDSA, turning right at Aurora Boulevard, going back to General Aguinaldo to circle around Ali Mall and back to make a final lap around Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Wurtzbach is also scheduled to do a Miss Universe Homecoming Special at the Smart Araneta Smart Araneta Coliseum on January 28. — Aya Tantiangco/RSJ, GMA News
