Resistance gains strength in ‘The Purge 3: Election Year’

The next chapter of the horror film series "The Purge" has released its first trailer.

"The Purge 3: Election Year" picks up 2 years after Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) stopped himself from committing a regrettable act of revenge in "The Purge: Anarchy."

The trailer of the third movie shows Leo Barnes as the head of security of Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), who is running for president in the elections.

The senator is campaigning to end Purge Night, an annual event during which  all crime is legal and all police and medical services are shut down for 12 hours.
