Miss USA praises Pia Wurtzbach to mark International Women's Day

Miss Universe 2015 second runner-up Olivia Jordan joined women all over the world in celebrating the annual International Women's Day on Tuesday.

In celebration of the event, the beauty queen from the United States talked about women empowerment in an Instagram post commemorating the unforgettable win of Filipina beauty queen Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as Miss Universe.

“Empowered women empower women. Let's celebrate the success of those around us and always keep it positive! The success of others does not take away from your success. There are enough wonderful opportunities in the world to go around. Lift others up and before you know it, it will be your turn to celebrate your own beautiful destiny,” Olivia said.

She added, “What an insane moment that I got to tell @piawurtzbach that her dream had just come true. And what an incredible @missuniverse she has already been! #InternationalWomensDay #liftothersup #empowerwomen”

Last week, the beauty queen pair joined forces to support the call to end violence against women worldwide.
