Rachelle Ann Go to join 'Miss Saigon' on Broadway

Rachelle Ann Go will be returning to her breakthrough role as Gigi in "Miss Saigon" — this time across the Atlantic.

The Kapuso singer and theater actress will be joining the Broadway production of the Cameron McKintosh musical beginning in March 2017.

Leading the cast are Filipino-American stage stars Eva Noblezada, who will reprise her West End role as Kim, and Jon Jon Briones, who will return as The Engineer.

Go gained acclaim in her West End debut in "Miss Saigon," winning several awards.

Last year, she left the production to join another West End institution as Fantine in "Les Miserables," where she was also recognized.

Earlier this year, Go joined the cast of the Manila run of Les Miserables, before returning to London to reprise the Fantine role there. —JST, GMA News
