Lea Salonga hits 'rude, disrespectful' couple on their phones during performance
Theater legend Lea Salonga hit out at a couple in the audience who were "inconsiderate, rude, and disrespectful" during her performance in the Manila run of "Fun Home" this past weekend.
Lea lamented the pair's behavior in a series of tweets.
So there was a couple on their phones during tonight's performance of #FunHomeMNL. I guess they couldn't be off their phones for 100 mins.

Being on your phone during any show is disrespectful to the artists on stage and the audience seated around you. You're disrupting them too.

Before every performance, there's an announcement asking patrons to turn off phones and other devices that may interfere with sound system.

Lea's messages were met with support by her followers, including fellow Miss Saigon veterans Jon Jon Briones and Eva Noblezada.
@MsLeaSalonga That sucks! Ushers should be on the lookout for this...with a tirador

@EvaNoblezada Inconsiderate, rude, disrespectful. Why even go to the theater at all?
