The Lego Movie’s Unikitty is getting her own animated series

Fans of the 2014 CGI adventure "The Lego Movie" are getting some awesome news.

Collider reports that Cartoon Network is producing a Unikitty Series, based on that box edged unicorn-cat fusion that wants to get rid of any negativity and transport friends to a joyous kingdom …only to have rage issues and bouts of temper tantrums that can only be controlled by “thinking happy thoughts”.

Much like Lego Batman getting his own movie this year, this desperately positive kitty is going to spin-off on her own series of adventures, along with a new batch of friends and all kinds of sensitive moments that can possibly tick her off!

As ruler of the kingdom, Unikitty has busy days full of royal responsibilities. Unikitty is most interested in making sure everyone is happy and ridding the kingdom of negativity, but don’t misunderstand her optimism – she is one kitty not to be crossed. While she may be full of boundless energy and creativity, Unikitty is a force to be reckoned with if anyone gets in the way of spreading her positive vibes, especially if anyone makes her little brother and best friend, Puppycorn, sad. Also living in the castle are Dr. Fox, the resident scientist, and Unikitty’s trusty bodyguard, Hawkodile. Through it all, Unikitty and her friends make sure that every day is the happiest and most creative ever.

Voicing Unikitty will be veteran voice actress Tara Strong, best known for her performance as Bubbles in “The Powerpuff Girls” and Harley Quinn in the “Batman Arkham” games.

She’ll be joined by other notable voice talents such as Roger Craig Smith, Grey Griffin, and Kate Micucci.

No release date has been given for the Unikitty animated series. — AT, GMA News
