'Ang Larawan' wins big, 'Siargao' makes a sweep at 2017 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal

Kapuso cutie Baeby Baste received a late Christmas present on Wednesday as he was hailed Best Child Performer during the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival awards night. 

Despite struggling in theaters, "Ang Larawan" won Best Picture and received nods for musical score and production design. It also received the Gat Puno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award.

Meanwhile, "Siargao" swept technical awards, gaining recognition for sound, editing, cinematography, and directing.
