Padre Pio relic arrives at UST
The "incorruptible" heart relic of Padre Pio arrived on Monday at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), the second destination of its 21-day tour in the Philippines.
According to a Balitanghali report by Rida Reyes, a welcome liturgy, which was attended by priests and the clergy, was held at the Santisimo Rosario Parish inside the UST campus.
At 4 p.m., a procession will be held at Plaza Mayor which will be followed by a Holy Mass.
The relic will then be returned to the Santisimo Rosario Parish for simultaneous public viewing that will start at 7 p.m.
Its next stop will be the Manila Cathedral on Tuesday for veneration. The relic will stay there until October 11 before it will be brought to Cebu and Davao.
The incorruptible heart relic arrived in the country last Friday and was brought to the National Shrine of Padre Pio in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA News
