Rabiya Mateo's Miss Universe journey

Rabiya Mateo did a fine, fine job representing the Philippines at the 69th Miss Universe. While she may have exited early from the pageant, the dusky Filipino beauty queen from Iloilo City made waves as soon as she landed in Florida, USA.

At the National Costume show, Rabiya stole the show as she glided across the international stage for the National Costume competition wearing 21kg-heavy wings with the blue color representing royalty, red for the courage and strength of an independent woman, and the yellow three stars.

On Saturday's prelims, she once again stunned in a yellow sun-inspired evening gown designed by Dubai-based Filipino designer Furne One.

On the coronation event, Rabiya stunned her fans from all over the world as she strutted her stuff in an Eva Sevahl swimsuit after securing a spot in the Top 21.

It may have been an early exit for Rabiya, but we're so proud to be represented by her. See how Rabiya gracefully walked her path right from the very beginning as Miss Iloilo in the local Miss Universe pageant below.
