Can't wait to watch the world premiere of "Trese"?

Well, Netflix just unveiled the first 4:45 minutes of the highly-anticipated Filipino anime series, and it looks absolutely terrifying.

The clip begins with a very familiar scenario to Metro Manila residents: The MRT skids to a halt, prompting passengers to walk back to the station on foot.

The scene, however, gets dark pretty fast. Three train riders are suddenly surrounded by demon-like individuals, screaming in terror as the screen cuts to black.

The 4:45-minute teaser also gives fans a first look at the show's opening credits, as well as a few minutes of the titular character, Alexandra Trese, at work.

"Trese" is the Philippines' first-ever Netflix anime series.

Based on the Filipino fantasy, crime-horror comic book of the same name created by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo, the story follows Alexandra Trese as she goes head to head with a criminal underworld comprised of malevolent supernatural beings.

The Filipina heroine will be voiced by "Pretty Little Liars" star Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell and Liza Soberano.

Just in case you didn't know, Netflix is holding a countdown called "Trese Before Midnight" that kicks off Thursday night at June 10, 11:47 p.m. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
