Coffee table book offers 'Recipes for Life' from Kay Gozon Jimenez

A new coffee table book offers some life lessons from entrepreneur and environmentalist Carolina "Kay" Gozon Jimenez, older sister of GMA Network CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon.

Titled "Recipes for Life: Hearty Servings for Joyful Living," it contains stories compiled by Kay's youngest child Carmen Jimenez Ong.

The book had an online launch with Kay's family and friends, who exclusively received the book containing her memories and life advice.

Among the topics discussed include her experiences in marriage, motherhood, relationships, business and industry, helping others, health and beauty, and faith.

According to Carmen's foreword, the book is dedicated to her mother Kay for her 83rd birthday.

"Kay has been a good sister to me and our siblings that's why I do not hesitate to say that if I can be reborn and given the choice I will choose Kay again as one of my sisters," Atty. Gozon said during the launch.

"Like our father, she seldom gets angry unlike me and our mother but like my mother she is religious and has a very strong faith in our Lord. To sum it all up, Kay has her heart in the right place," he added.

Other big names who were present at the launch include GMA chairman Annette Gozon-Valdes, Senator Cynthia Villar, and Angel Ramos, the daughter of former President Fidel V. Ramos, among others.

Kay is the founder and owner of The Carolina Bamboo Garden. According to its website, it is a place that "houses both indigenous and exotic varieties of plants and is a fine venue for conducting research on the various aspects of bamboo production and utilization."

Kay is married to businessman Nards Jimenez. Together, they have four children: Butch, Joel, Laurie, and Carmen. They also have 14 grandchildren.
