Taika Waititi thinks Filipino artist Jappy Agoncillo’s ‘Thor’ mural in BGC is ‘epic!’

Taika Waititi, actor and director of “Thor: Love and Thunder,” has given his stamp of approval on Jappy Agoncillo’s BGC mural, which was inspired by the film.

“Holy cow! Oh my lord, that’s amazing, man," Taika said in a video posted on Marvel Philippines' YouTube channel.

"That is epic!” He added.

According to Taika, Jappy's choice of colors in his mural were “the kind of colors that we were looking for in this film."

“With the palette, [we wanted to] have everything pop. The colors are incredible, aren’t they? Wow!”

Jappy is a Filipino muralist best known for his colorful pieces inspired by comics and pop art. He has painted murals all over the country and has collaborated with big-time brands.

According to the reaction video, Jappy was invited by Marvel to create the “Thor: Love and Thunder,” mural at the C1 Building in Bonifacio Global City.

Jappy was also able to ask Taika about his directing style and artistic influences.

Taika then thanked Filipino Marvel fans for the support, and invited viewers to check out the latest "Thor" film.

“You’re also gonna love this beautiful big piece of art which I’m looking at right now, a ‘Love and Thunder’ mural which you can check out down at BGC,” he ended.

It really is such an epic piece, Jappy! Congratulations! — LA, GMA News
