Marian and Dingdong's son Sixto dresses up as Lapulapu for Linggo ng Wika
Sixto Dantes makes for a loveable Lapulapu in his school's Linggo ng Wika celebrations.
On Instagram Friday, proud parents Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes shared a photo of their cute son in full costume as the first Filipino hero.
Weapons, check. Neck piece, check. Long hair, check! He even has "tattoos" — really, just markers — on his legs, which is common among warriors back in the day.
In the caption, the parents wrote, "Ako si Yapu-Yapu,” spelling out how their son pronounced the hero's name in the video that came after the movie poster-worthy photo.
In a separate post, Dingdong shared a funny photo of Sixto in the same costume but donning a sour face. "Si Datu Puti," he wrote.
By the way, ex-President Rodrigo Duterte signed an executive order clarifying the spelling of the Cebuano hero who fought the Battle of Mactan against the Spaniards: It's Lapulupu.
