BTS earns multiple nominations for 2023 Grammy Awards

BTS continues to make history as they earn multiple nominations for the 2023 Grammy Awards.

The South Korean supergroup is up for Best Music Video for their latest single “Yet to Come.” Part of their anthology album “Proof,” the nostalgic MV paid tribute to BTS’ incredible nine years as a group.

“Yet to Come” is also BTS’ first Grammy nomination for a song that is primarily in Korean.

For the third year in a row, the group is also vying for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “My Universe,” their collaboration with Coldplay.

In previous years, the BTS songs “Dynamite” and “Butter” were up for the award.

Finally, they are nominated for Album of the Year as featured artists on Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres." This also marks RM, SUGA, and J-Hope's — or the group’s rap line — first Grammy nomination as songwriters. According to Billboard, “they would have been album of the year nominees even if BTS were not listed as featured artists.”

The Grammy Awards are set for February 5 in Los Angeles. Beyonce leads the pack with nine nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar with eight, and Adele and Brandi Carlile with seven. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
