Pinoy Lit is lit: Ricky Lee, Glenn Diaz are finally dropping new novels

The stars have aligned: two behemoths of Philippine literature will drop new novels in the same month!

National Artist Ricky Lee and Palanca Grand Prize winner Glenn Diaz have separately shared this week the titles, release dates, and pre-order links of their respective upcoming works.

Lee will be releasing a sequel to his debut novel "Para Kay B," more than 14 years after it was first published in 2008.

"Lahat Ng B" will hit bookstores starting the first week of December.

"Para sa lahat ng mga binasted,  binitin, niloko, binalewala, pinaasa,  nakalimot, nagparaya, hindi nadadala,  di maka-move on, nadevastate at  gusto munang magpahinga sa pag-ibig – eto na ang pinakahihintay na sequel ng Para Kay B, ang karugtong ng mga kuwento nina Irene, Sandra, Erica, Ester,  Bessie, at Lucas mula sa National Artist  for Film and Broadcast Arts na si Ricky Lee," wrote the GMA creative consultant on his Facebook page.

Meanwhile, Diaz, whose debut novel "The Quiet Ones" won the Palanca Grand Prize in 2017, will be releasing his second novel next month.

"Yñiga" is also expected to be available on the first week of December.

"YÑIGA is the story of the titular character, Yñiga Calinauan, when her quiet life was upended by the capture of the retired army general, wanted for the murder of peasants and activists in the countryside, across the street from her house. Days later the neighborhood is burned to the ground in what some say is retaliation," read a synopsis posted by the Ateneo University Press on Wednesday.

"With nowhere to go, she returns to M—, the small fishing town where she grew up, and now hopes to regain the quiet life she has lost. But soon she discovers that the terror she thought she had escaped in the city is right on her trail, and she must face the 'forest of history' that has long haunted her family," it continued.

According to the authors' official social media pages, book lovers may avail of limited-time discounts by pre-ordering via https://tinyurl.com/LahatNgB-PreOrder and http://bit.ly/Yniga-preorder.
