Manix Abrera, among 10 TOYM awardees of 2022

Manix Abrera has been selected as one of the 10 TOYM (The Outstanding Young Men) of 2022.

On Instagram, the comic artist behind GMA News Online' cartoom series "News Hardcore" series dedicated thte recognition "para sa lahat ng mga kwento at hardcore kultura ng Pilipinas, para sa lahat na may kanya-kaniyang mahihiwagang kwento."

"Hardcore!" He added before congratulating his fellow honorees and finalists.

5. Rico Ancog, University of the Philippines - Los Baños School of Environmental Science and Management Dean
6. Shawntel Nicole Nieto, humanitarian and sustainability advocate
7. Ramon Lorenzo Luis Guinto, physician and educator
8. Kristian Cordero, poet and filmmaker
9. Manuel Luis Abrera, comic artist
10. Paul Gideon Lasco, medical anthropologist and physician 

In 2021, GMA Integrated News' Editor-in-Chief Jaemark Tordecilla was named TOYM for Digital Journalism.

TOYM was established in 1959. Organized by JCI Philippines and the TOYM Foundation, the awards seek to recognize "Filipinos between 18 and 40 years of age who have made significant contributions to their field or community."
