This speed artist can sketch portraits in just under five minutes

Though some say that good things take time, this artist proves that it can also come without much waiting.

As seen on Oscar Oida's "24 Oras" report, Tuesday, Nick Rodis from Silang, Cavite is able to finish his masterpieces including portraits and caricatures in just under five minutes.

He started drawing when he was just five then began earning from it when he turned 21. Nick mastered the speed when he became a resident artist in a Tagaytay restaurant while in his 30s.

"Siguro 'yon ang sikreto. Kailangan masaya ka. Basta drawing lang ako nang drawing. 'Yung bilis man ay talagang practice," he said.

His fastest record in finishing a piece is four minutes and 25 seconds, but he can do it faster when he is drawing live. He dreams of drawing GMA Integrated News anchor Jessica Soho.

"Gusto ko siyang i-live ng two minutes habang nagkwekwentuhan kami," he said.
