Bea Alonzo is a sophisticated fashion icon in 'Ang Larawan: The Concert'

Bea Alonzo just had a cameo role in "Ang Larawan: The Concert," but she totally slayed as the sophisticated fashion icon Elsa Montes!

The Kapuso actress shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the musical in the latest episode of her vlog.

Bea described her character as a 1940s It Girl who comes from a wealthy family in New York. She brought the Conga dance in the Philippines.

"She is very vain so imbis na makita niya 'yung totoong message or 'yung nilalaman ng larawan, ang nakita niya 'yung mga damit," she said about the role.

"Ang nakita niya 'yung surface lang, 'yung mga suot nila so na-inspire siya na gayahin 'yung mga damit sa larawan," she added.

Bea said this is her first foray into the world of theater, and she shared some of her learnings from the experience such as having dress rehearsals to make sure the cast can move properly in their costumes.

She also said the challenge in doing musicals is singing while dancing at the same time and making sure the performance quality for both is high.

"I'm just so happy that I get to do this at 35. It was one of the things I was able to tick off my bucket list. Ang sarap din na nagagawa 'yun before you move on to the next chapter of your life," she said.

After the show, fellow cast member Paulo Avelino came up to Bea and said she did a really great job. The two exchanged a quick hug back stage.

Dominic Roque, Bea's boyfriend, also arrived in her dressing room and gave her flowers.

"Ang Larawan: The Concert" was held at the Metropolitan Theater on May 6.
