Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel exhibit reaches Manila: Dates, tickets, and more
Filipinos don't have to travel to Vatican City to see the works of Michelangelo.
The traveling exhibit of Michelangelo's most significant works is coming to Manila! Starting July 1, the artworks of the Renaissance era master artist will be on view at the "Sistine Chapel: The Exhibit."
The Philippines is the first country in Asia to experience the globally successful, multi-sensory exhibit.
At "Sistine Chapel: The Exhibit," visitors will have a rare opportunity to witness some of the art world's finest creations in a never-before-seen perspective, up close and life-sized. It has 34 frescoes, including famous pieces "The Last Judgement" and "The Creation of Adam."
Through the ingenious use of cutting-edge technology, meticulous research, and precise reproductions, the exhibit "lifts the artist's work off the Sistine Chapel's ceilings" and brings them to eye level so that visitors can observe the divine figures, dynamic compositions, and expressive faces with newfound clarity and appreciation.
Each reproduced image is accompanied by informative signage and audio guides, which they can access by downloading the "Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel" app to give guests an in-depth museum experience.

The ticket starts at P650 for adults on weekdays, P750 for weekends, and P500 for senior citizens, students, and PWDs. For more information, visit the website.
