Pinoy Playlist Music Festival 2024 kicks off in Taguig on November 15

Pinoy Playlist Music Festival (PPMF) is set to kick off this November with the theme "Tuloy ang Musika, Tulay ng Buhay."

The music festival will run from November 15 to 17 and is the main highlight of BGC Passionfest, which will be held from November 15 to December 1.

For its 7th year, the festival will celebrate Filipino music by showcasing more than 300 artists, ranging from soloists and bands to choirs and orchestras under various genres.

Performances will be held at the BGC Arts Center and 5th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Aside from various performances, the event will also feature conversations with key figures in the music industry, as well as tribute sets for the PPMF 2024 Ryan Cayabyab Awardees.

This year's PPMF 2024 Ryan Cayabyab Awardees are Lutgardo Labad, Gilopez Kabayao, Joel Navarro, Odette Quesada, Celeste Legaspo, and APO.

Day 1 of PPMF will start with "Pinoy Playlist Conversations: Owning your song: Copyright, Intellectual Property," led by Atty. Ivan Mendez of the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and Atty. Marivic Benedicto of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry.

This will be followed by performances by Becki Demetillo Abraham, Nicole Asensio, SPIT, PHSA Makiling Dance, and many more.

Special performances in tribute to PPMF 2024 awardees Lutgardo Labad and Gilopez Kabayao will cap the day.

On Day 2, attendees can check out another conversation, "Emerging Filipino Artist and How to Keep the Music Playing," by Jonathan Manalo.

Performances by the UP Concert Chorus, St. Scholastica Orchestra, Acapellago, Edru Abraham and Kontra-Gapi, and more will be held on this day.

Special performances for PPMF 2024 awardee Joel Navarro will follow.

For Day 3, Vince de Jesus and Audie Gemora will present a conversation titled "State of Theater and Musicals."

Artists and groups such as Nyoy Volante, the Orchestra of Filipino Youth, HARU & Mike Shimamoto, Tres Marias, YARA, Issa Rodriguez, and more will perform on the third day.

The festival will be capped by special tribute performances for PPMF 2024 awardees APO, Celeste Legaspi, and Odette Quesada.

Curated by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, singer-songwriter Moy Ortiz, and filmmaker Noel Ferrer, the PPMF celebrates Filipino music "across genres and generations." It also recognizes the contributions of various artists to Filipino music through the PPMF Ryan Cayabyab Awards.
