Rico Blanco's songs to be staged as 'Liwanag sa Dilim' musical in March 2025

A new musical featuring the songs of the OPM icon Rico Blanco is set to be staged in March 2025.

Titled "Liwanag sa Dilim," local theater production 9 Works Theatrical aims to honor and celebrate Blanco's contribution to the Filipino music industry.

This is set to be their first production for 2025.

On Instagram, 9 Works Theatrical teased theater and OPM fans with a series of posters of the upcoming musical. Details regarding the casts and show dates are yet to be revealed.

The book and direction is under Robbie Guevarra.

9 Works Theatrical has staged other award-winning musicals, including "Grease," "La Cage aux Folles," "Tick, Tick... Boom!," " Rent ," and " Once On This Island ."
