The opening ceremony includes a free screening of National Artist for Cinema Ishmael Bernal's "Ikaw ay Akin" starring Nora Aunor, Christopher De Leon, and Vilma Santos.
The screening will be held at 5:00 p.m. at Red Carpet Cinema 1.
PFIM 2025 will also hold various screenings, film festivals, workshops, and masterclasses nationwide throughout September.
Key events include the PFIM 2025 Gala Night and the awarding ceremony of the Films for Peace Short Film Competition, which will be held on September 11 at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City.
The FDCP, in collaboration with the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund) and the Society of Filipino Archivists for Film (SOFIA), will also hold an Audiovisual Archiving Seminar and Workshop on September 24 to 26 at the Mowelfund Film Institute in Quezon City.
The FDCP and Directors' Guild of the Philippines's (DGPI) film pitch will happen on September 25 at the Lanson Place Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The event aims to connect Filipino filmmakers with partners and producers to help fund and support their film projects.
The Film Industry Conference and the launch of the first-ever Philippine Film Industry Roadmap on September 26 will also be held at the Lanson Place Mall of Asia.
Meanwhile, PFIM 2025's closing ceremony will be held at Robinsons Manila on September 27.
The full calendar of activities of PFIM 2025 is now up on FDCP's social media pages.
In 2021, President Rodrigo Duterte declared September of every year as the Philippine Film Industry Month through Proclamation 1085, with the FDCP mandated to lead the event's activities and programs.
