'DRPH: Slaysian Royale': Arizona Brandy reflects on being the first Pinoy to land at the bottom
After consistently being among the top queens in "Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale," Arizona Brandy fell short of keeping her high placement in the “Holy Cacao” episode.
In the third episode, the queens were challenged to create jaw-dropping couture looks using fossilized cacao leaves prepared by the farmers of Barangay Paquibato in Davao City. Each queen was given 900 leaves to work with.
Arizona Brandy and Ivory Glaze landed in the bottom, while Viñas DeLuxe and Kitty Space secured the top spots.
At the Bekenemen viewing party hosted by Baus Rufo and Myx Chanel held in Apotheka Wednesday night, Arizona admitted feeling like a disappointment as the first Filipino queen to fall into the bottom.
“Nahiya ako, hindi ako makatingin sa mata nila Khianna, nila Bernie kasi nakakahiya,” she said.
Meanwhile, Bernie revealed that she helped Arizona finish her look despite being unable to complete her own.
“Kapag natanggal si Arizona, parang natanggal na rin ako kasi dalawa kaming gumawa ng damit niya eh,” Bernie said.
“Kahit ‘di ko natapos ‘yung damit ko, basta ‘yung sa kaniya ‘yung inaalala ko kasi ayokong mangyari ‘yung sa season namin na lagi na lang siyang na-ca-call out about sa design challenge,” she added.
Following this season’s format, the top two queens, Viñas DeLuxe and Kitty Space, lip-synced for their legacy and decided who would be eliminated.
In the end, Viñas secured her second RuBadge of the season and sent Ivory Glaze home.
Arizona expressed her relief at being saved, saying it gave her the drive to push harder in the competition.
“Gigil na gigil ako for the next round,” she said. “Gusto ko lang patunayan sa sarili ko na if I fail, I stand up again.”
