PETA to stage ‘Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4’ in June 2026; Eugene Domingo to return in theater run

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is bringing the hit "Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank" franchise to a new medium with the stage production "Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4: Oh Sht! It’s Live Sa Cheter!" which will run from June 19 to August 16, 2026, at the PETA Theater Center.

The production marks the franchise’s first live theatrical installment after two films and a series. True to the satirical style that defined the franchise, the stage version takes aim at the inner workings of Philippine theater itself.

According to the show’s synopsis, the adaptation is a “chaotic, hilarious meta-comedy” that dissects the realities of mounting a show—from venue problems and ticket pricing to shifting audience tastes and debates on what Philippine theater should be. It also references global influences, including Broadway trends, while tracing the past, present, and future of local theater.

Eugene Domingo will return to play a fictionalized version of herself, a role she has carried throughout the franchise. PETA hints that she will be joined by “everybody else in the theater world as themselves,” signaling a production that blurs the line between performance and commentary.

The project reunites "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank" creators Marlon Rivera and Chris Martinez with PETA Artistic Director Maribel Legarda. The company positions the show as its “boldest evolution yet,” combining entertainment with the political and cultural critique that has defined PETA’s body of work.

PETA, known for hit productions such as "Rak of Aegis," "Walang Aray," and "One More Chance the Musical," is expected to bring the same mix of humor, accessibility, and commentary to the new show. The production arrives at a time when Philippine theater continues to rebuild momentum and audiences following pandemic disruptions and rising production costs.

"Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 4" is co-presented by Metrobank, PETA’s official bank partner for 2026. Metrobank credit cardholders will get first access to tickets during a special presale in early 2026.

Those who sign up for the waitlist from December 2 to 7, 2025, at bit.ly/PETASepticTank4Waitlist will be next in line to purchase tickets once they become available.
