'Les Misérables' world tour coming to PH in January 2026; Lea Salonga, more Filipino artists join production
Attention! The "Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular" is coming to the Philippines in January 2026!
Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Nick Grace Management and GMG Productions, has announced that Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil's "Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular" will be staged at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City from January 20 to March 1, 2026.
None other than Tony and Olivier Award-winning Filipino actress Lea Salonga will be part of the cast, taking on the role of Madame Thénardier. Meanwhile, Geronimo Rauch will play the role of Jean Valjean, and Jeremy Secomb as Javert.
Fellow Filipino artists Rachelle Anne Go, Emily Bautista, and Red Concepcion also join the cast of the "Les Misérables" world tour as Fantine, Eponine, and Thénardier, respectively.
Salonga, Rauch, Secomb, Go, Bautista, and Concepcion have all previously starred in "Les Misérables" in its West End and Broadway productions.
They are also joined by cast members Will Callan as Marius, Lulu-Mae Pears as Cosette, Harry Chandler as Enjolras, and Earl Carpenter as the Bishop of Digne.
Filipino talents likewise comprise the music ensemble, who will perform the show's dramatic score. They are Pinoy musicians John Gerald Calma, Dino Decena, Mary Anne Espina, Fransisco Llorin, Mhaze Lim, Jonathan Livioco, Dondon Lucena, Luke Manuel, Kier Manimtim, Marloe Maruyama, Gabriel Mendoza, Paul Ramos, Coi Reyes, Steve Retallick, Raymond Sarreal, Jordan San Jose, and Miko Villena.
"We’re incredibly honored to bring 'Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular' to Manila, and we’re equally delighted to see Filipino talent represented both onstage and among the musicians,” said GMG Productions CEO Carlos Candal via a press release. “This production is a celebration of world-class artistry, and we’re thrilled for Filipino audiences to experience it.”
The cast is completed by Jonathon Bentley, Georgina Blessitt, Amelia Broadway, Michael Burgen, Mary Jean Caldwell, Rosy Church, Gabrielle Cummins, Beth Curnock, Shaun Dalton, Jade Davies, Jonathan David Dudley, Harry Dunnett, Louis Emmanuel, Charlie Geoghegan, Connor Jones, Abel Law, Adam Robert Lewis, Andrew Maxwell, Jill Nalder, Lisa Peace, Emma Ralston, Ciaran Rodger, James Sillman, Harry Grant Smith, Jo Stephenson, Geddy Stringer, Helen Walsh, and Owain Williams.
The "Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular" kicked off in the United Kingdom and Europe in September 2024, expanding from the West End hit that was the "Les Misérables: The Staged Concert."
