Previous Nazareno andas are on exhibit in Las Piñas

A number of old carriages, or andas, used in the Traslación of the Jesus Nazareno can be found at Sarao Motors in Las Piñas City.

According to Super Radyo dzBB’s Luisito Santos on Wednesday, among those on exhibit is the Andas 45, which was used to carry the image of Jesus Nazareno during Traslacion until 2010.

It is mostly made of wood with only the upper and lowermost parts of Andas 45 made of steel.

And then there's the Altar Andas, used from 2000 to 2009. Modeled after its namesake, the Altar Andas looks like an altar.

The Modified Andas can also be seen at Sarao Motors. It was used from 2011 to 2020, or before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unlike the previous andas, the Modified Andas is more solid and features more steel on its body.

According to Sarao Motors, they did not make all the andas used in the Traslacion, only the Modified Andas and the one for the 2026 Traslación.
