CCP to hold this year's Pasinaya on February 7 and 8
The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), is holding its annual Pasinaya Open House Festival on February 7 and 8.
According to an announcement on the CCP Facebook, the festival will be held at the CCP Complex, Aliw Theater, Metropolitan Theater, Rizal Park, and Circuit Makati, as well as Tagum City, Province of Capiz, and Iloilo City.
The countryâs largest multi-arts event this year follows the theme âPaglikha sa Kinabukasan.â
The festival will bring together âa diverse mix of art groups and individual artists from across the Philippines,â the website said.
âWith over 150 shows, workshops, and activities in music, theater, dance, visual arts, film, and literature, thereâs something for everyone.âÂ
There will be Palabas (shows), Palihan (workshops), Palitan (networking), Paseo Museo (museum walkthroughs), Pamilihan (markets), and the debut of Paligsahan (contests).
Palabas will feature âSee-All-You-Can, Pay-What-You-Can.â There will be performances and film screenings featuring the CCP Resident Companies, National Performing Arts Companies, professional, amateur, and community-based artists, and arts organizations across genres.
Palihan is a âWorkshop-All-You-Canâ across all art forms led by experts.
Palitan, or the âNetwork-All-You-Canâ Arts Market, is where artists are given the chance to pitch their projects to prospective producers.
Paseo Museo is a tour of participating museums in galleries in Manila and Pasay City.
Pamilihan is a bazaar featuring local crafts, handmade goods, cultural souvenirs, and food.
Finally, the first Paligsahan will be six competitions ranging from cosplay and TikTok creations to mobile gaming, content creation, photography, museum exploration, and short filmmaking.
