‘Babae at Kulay’: Art exhibit in Angono, Rizal celebrates all-women lineup of artists
“Babae at Kulay” is an upcoming art exhibit that celebrates and honors women’s strength, resilience, beauty, and contributions through art this International Women’s Month.
The exhibit will run from March 10 to 27 at the Blanco Art Gallery at the Blanco Family Museum in Angono, Rizal, the same place where pieces by the late Jose “Pitok” V. Blanco are displayed. Admission to the “Babae at Kulay” exhibit is free.
The exhibit will showcase a total of 60 artworks by a mix of rising and veteran women artists from across the provinces of CALABARZON, bringing unique perspectives, experiences, and visions to the fore. Dubbed as more than just an exhibit, it also stands as a tribute to every woman’s story.
Some of the featured women artists are Precy De Guzman-Brady, Marivel Mari-Galang, Joy Blanco-Alejandro, Rose Gob, Marie Claire, Gem Yonzon Blanco, and Lucila Gragera.
"Babae at Kulay" is presented by the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) – Region IV-A in collaboration with the Blanco Family Museum. The exhibit is led by PBMLP Region IV-A President BM John Patrick Bautista, with project coordination led by Gem Blanco and BM Patnubay Tiamson.
