'Sang'gre' stars visit Philippine Book Festival for book signing event
Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian attended the Philippine Book Festival for the "Sang'gre" book, the first collectible book of a GMA series.
According to Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the book features the character traits of each new generation Sang'gre, the worlds from which they are from, their ancestors, and the reasons for protecting their brilyante.
Encantadiks bought the book and got these signed by the cast.
"Most of the time, ang mga bata ng mga bata ay nasa screens and actually even us adults, and we think na 'yun na ang reality. But we actually are forgetting, or we might be forgetting the importance and the magic of what the knowledge that we could get inside books," Bianca said.
Kelvin and Angel agreed that there is a certain feeling to having hard copies of books.
"Mas masarap din talagang magbasa ng libro kasi iba 'yung feeling ng hawak mo talaga 'yung papel, 'yung amoy niya," Kelvin said.
"Natutuwa ako 'pag may ganito na mga book fair kasi na-she-share pa rin sa mga kabataan 'yung libro," Angel added.
Tom Rodriguez, who plays Gargan, also launched his new children's book, which he wrote and illustrated. He said that the inspiration behind it is his son.
