This Intramuros rental shop lets you step into PH history through cultural attire
Intramuros is giving visitors a new way to experience Philippine history: not just by seeing it, but by wearing it.
A new cultural attire costume rental shop called Traje de Intramuros just opened within the historic walled city, offering curated traditional outfits inspired by Filipino heritage.
“Traje de Intramuros is designed as more than a costume rental—it is a cultural immersion experience, allowing guests to wear and engage with Filipino heritage within the historic setting of Intramuros,” the shop told GMA News Online.
The collection centers on classic Filipino silhouettes such as Traje de Mestiza or Maria Clara-inspired dresses and Barong Tagalog ensembles.
For women, the Binibini package is priced at P799 for locals and $25 for international visitors, while the Ginoo package for men is priced at P499 for locals and $15 for international guests.
Each package includes a full traditional outfit, dressing assistance, and recommendations for nearby heritage spaces within Fort Santiago.
To complete the look, guests may also use add-on accessories, including abaniko, payong, baston, payneta, jewelry pieces, and floral accents. Prices range from P50 to P200.
Guests receive a two-hour cultural and photo experience within Intramuros, allowing time to explore the historic surroundings while wearing their chosen attire.
You can book additional services like hair and makeup (from P1,500 to P3,500) and photoshoots (from P2,500 to P3,500).
Accredited tour guides may also be booked by appointment.
Advance online booking through Traje de Intramuros’ social media is encouraged, especially for groups and weekend visits. Valid IDs may be required for verification, and discounts are available for students, senior citizens, and PWDs.
