Who is Bella Ysmael? Here are 5 things to know about Miss Cosmo Philippines 2026
Bella Ysmael of Taguig City is Miss Cosmo Philippines 2026!
The Filipina beauty queen was crowned during a separate coronation ceremony held at City of Dreams Manila on Sunday alongside her fellow Miss Universe Philippines 2026 finalists.
She is set to represent the Philippines in the Miss Cosmo 2026 pageant.
But who exactly is Bella Ysmael? Get to know her with these five facts below.
1. She is a pageant veteran
Bella is a certified pageant kontesera who first stepped into the world of pageantry in 2014 when she joined Binibining Parañaque, eventually winning the title.
In 2018, she expanded her competitive journey by joining the fitness competition Century Tuna Superbods, where she finished as the first runner-up in the female category.
Bella later entered the national pageant scene in 2020 as a representative of Parañaque in Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Considered one of the competition’s front-runners, she ultimately finished as first runner-up to Rabiya Mateo of Iloilo City.
2. She is a ballerina
Aside from being a beauty queen, Bella is a talented ballerina. In fact, she also teaches ballet to kids at the ballet school she co-founded with her friend, Summer Go, called Milota Ballet in Parañaque.
3. She is the niece of Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran
Born Maria Ysabella Roxas Ysmael, Bella comes from the illustrious Roxas family, which includes actress and Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran.
Following Bella’s first runner-up finish at Miss Universe Philippines 2020, Margie proudly expressed her support for her niece, even calling her “my champion.”
"The first runner-up is my Champion. Ysabella Roxas Ysmael. You were a stand out but the purpose designed for you is greater than you can imagine," she wrote in an Instagram post.
4. She is a psychology graduate
Bella is both beauty and brains, having graduated from one of the top universities in the Philippines.
In 2017, she graduated with a degree in Psychology from De La Salle University-Manila, showcasing intelligence and dedication through her academic achievements.
5. She runs an eyewear business
Bella is her own girl boss, too. In 2025, she founded the sunglasses brand YSLE Society. The brand offers timeless, affordable pieces, showing that stylish does not have to be expensive.
