National Museum opens regional component in Baler, Aurora
The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) has opened its newest regional component museum in Baler, Aurora.
On Facebook, the Department of Tourism (DOT) congratulated the NMP following the inauguration on Tuesday, describing it as a new cultural landmark dedicated to preserving and showcasing Aurora’s rich cultural identity.
“NMP-Baler becomes the first component museum in Central Luzon, bringing the total number of National Museums nationwide to 22,” DOT said.
The newly opened museum features galleries that showcase Aurora’s history, cultural traditions, biodiversity, and artistic heritage.
Visitors can also explore exhibitions highlighting the Philippines’ historical ties with Spain, as well as selected works from the National Fine Arts Collection.
The museum will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting July 1. Admission is free.
