Pampanga residents affected by flooding receive food packs, hygiene kits from GMA Kapuso Foundation

Residents in San Simon, Pampanga, who have been experiencing flooding for about a month now, recently received food packs and hygiene kits from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to "24 Oras" on Wednesday, many residents in Barangay Sto. Niño have resorted to bringing washbasins to receive aid and other essentials.

Ally Dela Cruz, a resident, would also for tilapia in a flooded basketball court to earn income for his family. He said that the tilapa came from the fisheries that got flooded.

“Even at the time of Ondoy, the flood was not like this,” he said in Filipino.

To help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, along with the Philippine Red Cross and the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) of the Philippine Army, delivered food packs, biscuits, and diapers in three barangays.

The Philippine Red Cross also donated hygiene kits to the residents

"As you can see, the flood is really deep," said Barangay Sto. Niño Captain Alex Tayag. “So thank you to GMA for their help and to the Red Cross. Thank you very much."

GMA Kapuso Foundation also distributed food packs, hangers, and biscuits to four thousand individuals in San Luis, Pampanga.
