'Sister Stella L.' restored version to premiere this September
The 4K restored version of "Sister Stella L.," one of Vilma Santos' most iconic films, is set to premiere this September.
The Mike De Leon-directed film will be screened at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila on September 20, the Film Development Council of the Philippines announced on Facebook.
Pre-registration will be on September 15, Tuesday at 6 p.m.
"Sister Stella L." follows the titular character in a battle for social justice as she undergoes a political awakening when she gets involved in a working man's problems.
Aside from "Sister Stella L.," Vilma is also known for the films "Anak," "Darna at Ding," and "Bata, Bata... Paano Ka Ginawa?" among many others. She is known as the Star for All Seasons.
Meanwhile, Mike is known for the films "Itim," "Kakabakaba Ka Ba?" and "Kisapmata."
